Hello, My name is Nikita. I am the person behind Wolfe Studio. I aim to create beautiful pieces of furniture that stand the test of time. Between projects for clients I create speculative pieces with the goal of exercising my creativity, honing my skills as a craftsman, and experimenting with new techniques. I am only at the beginning of my journey and have a head full of ideas and designs waiting to be brought to life.

I started Wolfe Studio in 2021 after deciding to abandon a career in architectural sustainability which I had spent my early 20’s studying and working towards. After completing my studies I realised very quickly that I wasn’t cut out to work behind a desk, which is ironic considering I’d spent so many years behind a desk studying.

When it comes to client projects, my primary goal is to create a piece of furniture that will bring them joy every time it is used, through it’s aesthetics, functionality, and provenance. My speculative pieces on the other hand aim to elicit an entirely different feeling; curiosity. I strive to create pieces of furniture that are a feast for the eyes and mind, where the more you look the more you find, and the more you find the more you ask ‘how?’.

I approach each project as a collaboration between my client and myself. I may be the one designing and making the piece, but it is my client who will live with it, and so above all, it’s my job to make sure it is their vision that comes to life.
